Dear Network,
as you might have seen, the Activity Plan for the 2015-2016 has just been
sent to you for feedback! We are very happy to start working for our
objectives of the year and we look forward to your feedback and thoughts.

In the meantime, we are bringing you the latest news and *the most

The Ides of September - the EU is back from holidays The European
institutions have come back to work this Monday, with several big
challenges this Autumn

The Greek elections, the refugee crisis, the instability in the Eurozone
and the conflict in Ukraine, among many other topics, make this "an ugly
fall" for the EU according to many.
European Youth Capital 2018: meet the five finalists! The selection of the
European Youth Capital 2018 is still ongoing! You can now meet the five
candidates - Cascais, Kecskemet, Manchester, Novi Sad and Perugia are
competing for the award, which will be announce the next 27th November at
the Council of Members of the European Youth Forum.



The European Youth Capital is an award given by the European Youth Forum to
showcase and strengthen the city's youth-related cultural, social and
leisure aspects for the period of one year. *Cluj-Napoca* is currently
holding the title of the "European Youth Capital"

2015, whereas Gence and Varna will follow in 2016 and 2017.
EU: Is the Youth Guarantee failing Europe's jobless young people?

Two years after the launch of the Youth Guarantee, more than a fifth of
young working-age European are still jobless or not in education. The
impact of the Youth Guarantee is still questioned, as it fails to "give
every young EU citizen a quality offer of employment, education or training
if they are unemployed"

Online Linguistic Support - make the most of Erasmus+! Tearing down
language barriers has never been easy. However, if you are an Erasmus+
student or a European Voluntary Service Volunteer, you can take advantage
of the *Online Linguistic Support*

a platform launched by the European Commission to support mobility students
in such an endeavour.

The OLS is available for* German, English, Spanish, French, Italian and
Dutch*, which are the main languages for about 90% of all Erasmus+
mobilities. You might want to check it if you are kicking off your EVS or
Erasmus semester in any of the countries where these languages are spoken!
#Run4Employment - join the challenge!
*B!ngo* (the Brussels Interns NGO), one of AEGEE-Europe's partner
organisations, is organising #Run4Employment, in order to raise funds* to
support the development of Job'N'Coop*, an app that will empower young
people to find and create jobs.

If you are in Brussels the 13th of September, you can check the opportunity
and take part in it, and take part in such an active and fun response to
youth unemployment!
