Celebrations across the streets, people waving the EU flag, cars honking their horns, smiles and laughter is only a glimpse of what's going on in Malta ...
...this Saturday, March 8th, we had the EU membership referendum and now it's official, the Maltese populations said YES !!!

Needless to say that we're far more than euphoric and tremendously happy that on May 1st, 2004, Malta would be an official EU member state. Due to our thorn political situation on the issue, this whole question was widely contested in itself but as from today, we can easily say that we've secured our place ... the place where we always belonged!
              ...Europe we're coming ...
