Dear Rainbowists!

The Spring Agora will start in less than 15 days: a part from rain-coats and umbrellas, don't forget to bring with you in Amsterdam the AGORA BOOKLET.
So far all the locals should have received it in General Mailing of AEGEE-Europe: in case the postman lost your envelope remember that you can always get it sending an e-mail to [log in to unmask] with the text "get AGORA-Booklet" (leave the subject-line empty!)

The Agora Booklet is the survival kit for anyone who want to enjoy and play an active role during the Agora: most of you are already quite familiar with it, some others still look at it as the long-english-written-boring booklet, some others still have no clue about how many useful information it contains to be prepared for a successful Agora...

This is step-by-step what you can find inside the Agora Booklet (64 pages in a single e-mail! ;-)))

1. Preface by the Chair and the Comité Directeur (page 4)
(btw, for a nice surprise just read the PS on the Chair preface!)

2.THE AGENDA (page 6)
The whole program of the Agora minute by minute, to know exactly what time, where to go, what to do. Tip: during an Agora the schedule is hardly delayed, so try to make your best to be on time and of course at the right place!
The program is divided in sessions:
- PLENARY session: all delegates, envoyees, visitors etc.. grouped together in a very large room (for the activities check the Agora Booklet ;-).
- WORKSHOPS and PRYTANIA sessions: people split in smaller groups to join in separate rooms presentations&debates about several topics (workshops) or discussion on proposals (prytania)

3. SOME BASIC RULES (page 9)
- about Registration procedure (everybody at AEGEE-Amsterdam desk; one delegate at AEGEE-Europe desk)
- about Agora procedures (speaking rights, ect..)
- about voting (you will have to vote on several things: read out that paragraph to know how it works!!!)
- about Prytanium (how it works)

4. MEETINGS and WORKSHOP (page 12)
A day-by-day, time-by-time presentation of all the workshops scheduled during the whole Agora: together with your board decide which one are most interesting for your local, in which ones you can give a good contribution etc..
Tip: workshops are helded in parallel, not in a row: to get the most of information, send delegates at different workshops!

5. PROPOSALS (page 21)
A detailed presentation of all the proposals that will be discussed and amended if necessary during Prytania: read out that part carefully, discuss within your local good and weak point of proposals, send a delegate to each prytanium to in order to achieve a more effective participation of your local to Agora-works.
NOTE 1: proposals are aiming at reforms, amendments, adds, changes: make up your mind about Pro&Con's of their implications and attend actively the prytania!
NOTE 2: at the end of Prytania, proposals will be presented at the whole Agora during plenary-session and you will be requested to VOTE on it: be ready for that!

6. ACTIVITY REPORTS (page 27)
A one-by-one complete presentation of all the results achieved and problems faced by members of the Comitè Directeur, members of Working Groups and Liaison Officers during the previous term.
Read out that part if you want to know what people has been (or not) working for during the term from Agora in Ankara until Agora in Amsterdam. Remember: you will be requested to vote on the Activity Report of the Comité Directeur: be prepared for that!

7. APPLICATIONS (page 54)
Under this section you can find the profile of candidates for the vacant positions within CD, Commissions and SUCT: read them out carefully, attend their presentation on Saturday 4th, after 17.00, some other candidates will show up, listen carefully and prepare for questioning if you are not convinced yet.
NOTE: you will have to vote in order to elect them, they will be the responsible people for the next term: discuss with your local board and be prepared to make a good choice! ;-)
Tip: if you also planned lately to candidate for a position, there's a chance also for you: fill in the form you find at the end of the booklet and hand it in at the registration desk of AEGEE-Europe before Friday at 13.00!!!

8. Final check-list (back-cover)
A list of small simple question to check out if you are finally ready to take-off for the Agora! Good luck!

For any questions or doubt concerning the Agora, mail to [log in to unmask] or to [log in to unmask] or approach us during the Agora: you'll be always very wellcome!!!
