Hi everybody,

in the e-mail below you'll find what kind of activities Education Working Group is preparing. For sure we're counting also on contribution of the Rainbow Region ;-). Many of you already showed some interest at the Agora, but for sure there are many of you that would like to take part in one of the planning activities.

We would like to encourage you to become active and to get in touch with us. You'll find contact persons for every activity and his/her e-mail below. Please, don't hesitate to contact us.

And here we go:

1. Debate School - AEGEE-Bucaresti (15. - 22. September)

The Debate School will be organized by AEGEE-Bucuresti and will provide you with the skills for debating in a club. The
idea is to organize such Debate Schools all over Europe and to establish a network of debate clubs within AEGEE-locals, which would then have competitions among their members.

2. Borderless Education Rally

There will be several conferences, during which the participants will visit two to four different universities for ca. 3
days each, preferably in border regions (in order to keep the travel costs low). During the conference, the university
systems of the different countries will be experienced and discussed by the participants, there will be lectures on the
best teaching methods, different models for university and study structure, innovative teaching methods, authentic
classes to take part in etc. By bringing in also their personal experience, and by discussing the different ways to deal with university and teaching, the "perfect university system" should be formed by picking the best parts of all countries. This "ideal system" should then be used as a basis for AEGEE's opinion on the Bologna process, which aims among others at harmonizing European university systems.

5. Other language projects

At the Agora in Amsterdam, we started forming project teams to work on an AEGEE-Travel Dictionary, on organizing
language speed courses of the local language at the beginning of every Agora or PM, as well as a conference on languages, and on making a list of the best teaching methods for language teachers.
