 Hello AEGEEans
 Here is an open call. We need help in the Cd house especially in the
lobbying part. If you think you can fit in this position read the following
text and let us know.


Dear Network,

On the first CD meeting in Izmir, the Comité Directeur of AEGEE-Europe, took
the decision to issue an open call for a Lobbying Assistant, who will assist
the President and the Comité Directeur in the implementation and lobbying
for the Year Plan Project of AEGEE-Europe for 2006 (Take Control-Democracy
in Europe), Implementation of the Strategic Plan of AEGEE-Europe, and
helping to achieve the goal of making AEGEE a more active actor in the
Brussels and European decision-making circles. Therefore, referring to
Article 2 from the Working Format of the Secrétariat Général, the Comité
Directeur would like to announce the following open call for a Lobbying
Assistant, for a period of 5 months, with a possibility of prolongation of
the contract.

For all candidates it is desirable to have:

Knowledge of:

 a.. Lobby  techniques, and previous experience in the field
 b.. Extensive knowledge of the structure of European and international
 c.. Extensive knowledge of AEGEE, its fields of work, and European level
 d.. Mediation and consensus building
 e.. Knowledge about other European level NGO's
 f.. At least 1 foreign language's beside English and the mother tongue
(Preferably French)

Ability to:

 a.. Demonstrate creativity
 b.. Be a good listener, speaker and writer
 c.. Maneuver in political situations
 d.. Be sensitive in situations of cultural, ethnic and gender differences
 e.. Work in a stressful environment and a multicultural team
 f.. Earn the confidence of all parties
 g.. Be a result-oriented person

Furthermore, the assistant will be in constant contact with the Comité
Directeur, the Year Plan Project 2006 Team and all relevant European level
