CIAO!
The European School in Brescia (the 2nd ever taking place in Italy..) is over...
Where will take place the next year in our region ?
Anyway...who wasn't there missed a lot... here a report...
Believe me, never seen so many gossips and daily newspapers delivered in a
European School !!!
The 22 partecipants were coming from Praha,Poznan,Rijeka,Ljubljana,Hamburg,
Enschede,Debrecen,Barcelona,Cluj Napoca,Groningen,Kaiserslautern,Kiel,Torino,
Ferrara and Brescia.
During the week there were lectures in the morning,
(everyday had a precise topic:Easter day,Team day,Planning day,FR day,PR
day,Europe day... ;-)
and in the afternoon the case: simulate to prepare a Summer University in the
frame of the yearplan topic 2000 'Borderless Europe'.
The 'antennae' received assignments like 'prepare programme of the SU','write
letters to speakers and to companies','make poster','make the budget',etc..
wich were evaluated and corrected by the staff and the tutors,
(as Egens van Iterson Scholten, former president of AEGEE, CD members Marcus
Khoury and Mauro Schiavon,Barbara Bolta, experienced member of AEGEE-
Ljubljana,Rolf Wienkotter,organiser of various events..etc)
The case was so realistic to include even the unexpected arrival of Balyno and
friends at the SU +other logistical problems... (wednesday assignment :-)
But the highlight of the ES were the fund raising interviews with companies
bosses,rectors or institutions,where the partecipants could experiment their
abilities. Interviews were filmed so they could then see themselves on the
TV,understand their mistakes, know the tricks, learn how to behave in these
situations.
The football match ended 10-4 for Europe...

Best party: toga Roman party ( and you should have seen this !!! the Gallican
Gunnar-Obelix)
There were also some visits from the italian network: Johannes Bambino,
a delegation from AEGEE-Bergamo,AEGEE-Pavia,the representatives from AEGEE-
Udine,'contact' Parma,Budapest and Milano (Balyno and Bali ).
Sunday's Agora was filmed in a movie wich will remain in the history of
AEGEE !!!!
The CD moral report received 100 % of the votes against ;-)
