ciao,

visti i problemi mi sembra minimo scrivere anche a VISA-L non vi pare ? ;-)

I spent hours here in the office but it was unuseful, big help...
I was able neither to call to the visa informations office in Bucharest !
I don't remember how many times I tried but it was always occupied.
Maybe this is not new for you...

All that I could do till now it was to send a fax and an e-mail with all the
datas concerning partecipants specifying for wich reason they are coming to
Italy
...you can imagine :((
Obviously I will keep on calling.

I have sent all the datas I received from SU organisers also to Marco,
we decided that he will contact the Foreign Minister going to Roma tomorrow.

I could discuss with people from CD and netcom about it, especially how to
prevent these situations.
Obviously during summer holidays the Embassy in Bucharest has too much work
to do, so it is better to inform the Embassy very, very early, at least one
month before.
But we have to be careful with the embassies, because if there are lots of
locals who have contact with them, and if the embassy
is fed up, then we have problems.

1. concerning the AGORA the situation of the Embassy after summer holidays
should be normal again.
But send the embassies information about the aims of AEGEE and the goal of
the agora and where they can find more information, so that
they get familiar with it, and sent this information now!

2. Maybe it's a good idea to make one person responsible in the whole Italy,
then the contact will be constant.

AEGEE-Groningen for example could organise all the visas and even travel for
free because they have such a good relationship with the embassy, there's a
guy who knows about AEGEE so everything can be arranged very fast and good.

Good thing to do: build a relationship with the foreign affairs ministry,
the can spread the news to the embassies, in the Netherlands this works.

Maybe it might be possible to ask for the most urgent cases to German
Antennae to help us..

The TSU (AEGEE-Venezia, Treviso, Verona, Ferrara) and Bologna & Napoli SUs
already started today, in Trieste starts the 23th, Udine the 27th...

If anybody is able to help us contact me: [log in to unmask]

It seems there's really the willing by the Italian locals to start a common
initiative.

Angela
