i'd like to inform you that it's possible to apply for a traineeship at the
ECML, European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe.
The Centre is based in Graz, Austria.

                ECML traineeships

      The ECML recruits trainees on a year-round basis. Up to six
      trainees can be recruited per year. They each receive an
      allowance which covers part of their travel and subsistence
      expenses. Trainees should preferably be post-graduate students
      at the MA level or at a higher level. They must be bi- or
      trilingual (English, French, German) and have adequate writing
      and computer skills. They also must be capable of working
      effectively in a team. The Centre is especially keen on the
      following specialisations:

         * multimedia/internet as a resource for language education;

         * databanks; virtual resource centres (set-up and
           management);

         * management of language education/training related
           projects;

         * interest and experience in the following areas: learner
           autonomy, ICT, language awareness, learning several
           languages simultaneously, the changing role of the
           language teacher, teacher training, evaluation and
           recognition of competences, pédagogie des échanges, etc.,
           with a view to, for example, carrying out
           research/compilation tasks on key areas of the Centre’s
           activities or preparing publications on specialised
           topics/collections of publications on the same issue;

         * trans-border co-operation in the area of modern languages.

      Length of traineeship: 3 to 6 months.

      Traineeship agreement with a university required plus two
      letters of recommendation..
