2. FRAMEWORK and MOTIVATION

The Youth for SEE Project aims to foster and

joint- and individual action by regional youth NGOs
and their potential partners across Europe.

The twin training courses will on the one hand seek
To introduce young activists to various academic and
experience-based perspectives on the problems and
challenges of the SEE region; on the other hand, they
will attempt to identify the existing initiatives for
regional and international co-operation, and
possibilities for contribution.

The project’s basic motivation is to help youth
leaders develope a deeper insight and understanding of
the complex social conditions and processes that shape
their living and acting environments, but also the
available and potential spectrum of possibilities and
opportunities. By improving knowledge, skills, and
contacts, Youth for SEE trainings will qualify
existing initiative and promote further networking and
co-operation among youth NGOs in the SEE region and
across Europe.

The YOUTH for SEE /ISTANBUL Seminar will seek to cover
the two-fold project thematic:
i. Understanding the history, challenges and
possibilities that define the SEE region;
ii. and facilitate enhanced activism and solidarity
among youth NGOs from ALL parts of
Europe, towards stability and shared prosperity!

3. STRUCTURE and PROGRAMME

community of 60 participants, tutors, and
case-moderators. The academic programme of the Seminar
will mainly consist of:

institutions (like EU and Council of Europe), who will
deliver lectures and presentations and inform
discussions; and
CASE STUDIES/ WORKSHOPS – to be moderrated by experts
and academics, as well as qualified activists, will
interactively explore various relevant topics and
problem areas in depth.
