Dear friends,

would you like to do something special for AEGEE Europe but you don't have
much time to dedicate to it?
Are you an active and communicative person?
Do you know a company which might be interested in AEGEE-Europe activities?
Would you like to be part of a group of special people who aims to help our
Association to develop itself?

If the answer to these questions is YES, we are looking for you..

During the last six months a new concept has been created and developed in
the field of Fund raising for AEGEE-Europe.
Many meetings in Adana and Poznan, an intensive communication activity
between the FR responsible of the past CD (our dear Fani) and a group of
enthusiastic AEGEE-Members, leaded to the definition of the Network of
contact persons to companies.
Now, we are ready to start the implementation of this network and for this
we need your candidatures.

1) Sending an application form

The first thing you have to do, is to send an application form to
AEGEE-Europe for entering a new company in the External Contacts database of
AEGEE Europe.
The application has to include the following information regarding the
company:
· Presentation of the Company, possibly including some brochures of it;
· Reason for including it in the database;
· Possible advantages for AEGEE Europe from this contact;
· History of the co-operation between your local and this company (if there
is one);
The application should also include the following personal information:
· Motivation letter
· Personal CV, including also your AEGEE experience (with emphasis to the FR
activity);
· A letter of recommendation made by your local;
· The period during which you grant the responsibility of the contact.

2) Your responsibilities...

Once the application is approved, the CD will appoint you officially as
contact person for the company, signing a contract which will state your
responsibilities and AEGEE-Europe ones.
Once appointed, you will be responsible of the following:
· to establish a personal relationship with a key-person in the company
(e.g. Marketing Manager, Recruitment Responsible);
· to inform that person regularly on the activities of the association, send
the AEGEE-Europe publications, invite this person to AEGEE events etc.;
· to get information on the funding possibilities within the company, make
sure that applications of AEGEE-Europe and AEGEE locals reach the company on
the right time (like the preparation of their annual budget);
· to prepare concrete proposals for sponsoring in favour of AEGEE Europe,
together with the CD responsible and hand in applications to companies for
sponsoring of different locals and events;
· to present an activity report on an annual basis (or related to the period
you will be appointed).
AEGEE-Europe, through the External Relations responsible, will be
responsible to provide the contact person with all the necessary
information, advice and material.

3)... and your benefits.
Being an AEGEE member automatically excludes personal money benefits.
Anyway, the Association will "pay back" your efforts with internal rewards.
Once officially appointed, you will receive your welcome package, including
all the publications and some personal surprises. Furthermore, if the
co-operation with PricewaterhouseCooper will be set up, all the members of
the Contact Persons' Network will have the possibility to follow a
professional Training Course on Fund Raising which will be organised every
year just for them and given for free.
PricewaterhouseCoopers will be the organiser of this Training Course. This
guarantees high quality contents and maximum results.
There is also hope that travel expenses will also be also reimbursed.
Your fundraising activity will bring benefits also to your own local. After
a successful fund raising action, your local can keep the 20% of the amount
fundraised. This percentage includes the administrative reimbursements for
the contact person.

4) How to get more information
If you are interested in becoming a contact person to a company for AEGEE
Europe and you would like to have more information on it, you can contact me
writing an e-mail or calling me to one of the numbers listed below (I will
move to BXL on the 17th dec 99).
Please send your application in closed envelop to:

Ciao

Mauro
