Dear Solène, dear all, I'm Nicola, the president of Aegee-Torino. I want to give a short comment to your event. When I was in Udine I've spoken with a lot of people from Italy, Switzerland and France (included Olivier) about a new way of communicating between us, because I think we are so close but we have so borders between us. And everybody agreed with my idea of setting up a new mailing list called transalps-l. Unfortunately this is taking a lot of time, but maybe at the end of this week we'll have this new ml. You had a great idea. But there are different ways of cooperation... I'm very disappointed because of your message for the following reasons: 1) In the same time we have in Torino a very important event: a conference that is part of the yearplan "Borderless Europe". It was on the calendar of official events since 22/06/2000. Maybe when you've decided to organize your event you forgot to check the calendar of events... Sometimes happens... But it was mentioned, in this ml, also in the Davide's report after the Agora. I don't want to think that you have subscirbed this ml only for promoting your event... 2) When I was in Udine I've talked with many people from France. Nobody told me about this kind of event. If we were talking about the same aims (crossing regional borders), why didn't you mentioned this idea? Maybe because it wasn't already planned... 3) I don't like this kind of colonialism. If you want to cooperate, first discuss and then make a propose. It's not fair to organize and then invite. So we, Aegee-Torino, kindly ask you to pospone your event, in order to start a REAL cooperation, based on communication and common projects.
