SUMMER TRAINING EVENT "ITALIAN CULTURE OF DOING BUSINESS" Date: 1-14th June 2002

II. -The Idea of Training - "Italian culture of going Business" "02"
Organisers: AEGEE-Teramo, In co-operation with Rotary -Teramo and in co-operation with University of Teramo and other sponsors.
Number of participants: 30 people (on the principal, one person from one European state)
Aim of the course: to contribute to professional development of young man and women (members of both youth NGOs, from other European Countries) as future business elite, to get to know Italian traditions and Italian way of doing business.
During two weeks: Participants will try to discover secrets of doing business in "heart of Europe" (province of Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy).
Place: Training course will be conducted in one of the most beautiful parts of Italy (since Teramo is situated between mountains -highest pick is called Grann Sasso 3,350 meters - and Adriatic sea).

WHO ARE LECTURERS?
University of Teramo will provide lectures: professors and young professionals, covering topics connected with theoretical part of the course - namely, about legal aspects of doing business.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
Firstly, participants will have unique chance to visit one of the most beautiful parts of Italy and enrich their knowledge about Italy. Besides they will get unique opportunity to know how Italian business is done.
Secondly, in such way leaders of one of the best Italian enterprises (best practises) will share their secrets and “know how”, thus contributing to the training of the future leaders and development of small and medium sized business in Europe. Making also one more step towards European integration.
NB: at the end of the training course every participant will get certificate of participation.

III. – Programme - will consist of two major elements.
They are: academic programme and social programme:
Academic programme:
We will have and trainings delivered by university professors, business leaders and young professionals. Lectures will cover wide range of topics and will offer you a possibility to see entire picture of doing business in Italy.
(i) General part (theoretical part):
- Topic 1: How to start your business?
- Topic 2: How to register your enterprise? What are the legal aspects?
- Topic 3:How do you pay taxes? (meeting with tax authorities - tax officer);
- Topic 4: How to obtain credit from bank?
- Topic 5: What are secrets of Italian businessmen of fruitful working with clients?
- Topic 6: Legal aspects of your business: Intellectual property rights (copyright, trademarks);
- Topic 7: What a re the rights of the customer?
- Topic 8:What are the typical features of Italian PR?
(ii) Study Visits (Practical part): Second part of the programme will be more of practical application. We will have a series of study visits to the most successful enterprices (region of
Abruzzo).
Among them it"s expected that we will meet chief of next categories of business:
- banking institutions,
- super-market(s),
- tourism firm (agenzia voiaggi),
- vineyards,
- fashion industry (wear and footwear production),
- restaurant and hotel business,
- chocolate (candies) industry.
Social programme:
Excursion to l"Aquila (Italian town of 99 fountains); BBQ at Grann Sasso; National Drinking Praty; International Cooking Party; excursion to the Adriatic Sea; trip to medieval castle etc.

How to apply
All you have to do is to fill in the application form below and return it to the Coordinator for the Training before May 17th 2002. If you are selected you will be contacted by May 20th 2002 and will be asked to pay the participation fee to our bank account.
The participation fee is EURO 150,00 - and includes lodging, training and 1 meal per day. You should not bring a sleeping bag, because you will be accommodated in the *** Hotel Michelangelo, here in Teramo.
