SUMMER TRAINING COURSE "ITALIAN CULTURE OF DOING BUSINESS" 2002

If you can answer one of these questions with "yes", have you ever thought about participating in the AEGEE-Teramo Training Event ???

Concept
***
A. Organisers: AEGEE-Teramo, in co-operation with Rotary-Teramo and in co-operation with University of Teramo and other supporting organisation.
Participants: who already registered come from: Poland, Belgium, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Italy (representative of other countries are will-come)

Aim of the course: to contribute to professional development of young man and women (members of both youth NGOs, from other European Countries) as future business elite, to get to know Italian traditions and Italian way of doing business.
***

During two weeks: Participants will try to discover secrets of doing business in "heart of Europe" (province of Teramo, Abruzzo).
Gender balance: Organising Committee while selection makes its best to make 50-50% quota both for young man and women. 
PLACE: Training course will be conducted in one of the most beautiful parts of Italy (Teramo is situated between mountains -highest pick is called Grann Sasso 3,350 meters - and Adriatic sea).

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
Participants will have unique chance:
*to visit one of the most beautiful parts of Italy and enrich their knowledge about Italy. Besides they will get unique opportunity to know how Italian business is done.
*to meet leaders of best Italian business practises;
*to take active part in training, targeted at development of necessary business skills, vitally need for survival in competitive environment,

*to swim in and enjoy Adriatic Sea,
*to meet Italian culture and traditions,
* to have a lot of fun with other people from all over Europe.


N.B.: at the end of the training course every participant will get Certificate of Participation.

B. Programme will consist of two major elements. They are: academic programme and social programme:

Academic programme:
***
We will have and trainings delivered by university professors, business leaders and young professionals. Lectures will cover wide range of topics and will offer you a possibility to see entire picture of doing business in Italy.
(i) General preconditions (theoretical part):
- Topic 1: How to start your business?
- Topic 2: How to register your enterprise? What are the legal aspects?
- Topic 3:How do you pay taxes? (meeting with tax authorities - tax officer);
- Topic 4: How to obtain credit from bank?
- Topic 5: What are secrets of Italian businessmen of fruitful working with clients?
- Topic 6: Legal aspects of your business: Intellectual property rights (copyright, trademarks);
- Topic 7: What a re the rights of the customer?
- Topic 8:What are the typical features of Italian PR?

(ii) Study Visits (Practical part): Second part of the programme will be more of practical application. We will have a series of study visits to the most successful enterprices (region of Abruzzo).
Among them it"s expected that we will meet chief of next categories of business:
- banking institutions,
- vineyards,
- fashion industry (wear and footwear production),
- restaurant and hotel business,
- chocolate (candies) industry.

Social programme:

1) Excursion to l"Aquila (Italian town of 99 fountains),
2) BBQ at Grann Sasso,
3) National Drinking Praty (every of 30 participants will bring his\her national drink and they will taste each others" drinks etc.),
4) International Cooking Party,
5) Excursion to the Sea (GuliaNova, Montesilvano- Italian Beverly Hills: beach, sun, Adriatic Sea and a lot of palms),
7) Trip to medieval castle.
Besides at the end of the training we will organise press-conference with local mass-media here: event will be covered both by TV and newspapers etc.
Deadline for application is 19th 20:00!!!

The participation fee is EURO 150, - and includes lodging, training and 1 meal per day. You should not bring a sleeping bag, because you will be accommodated in the *** Hotel Michelangelo.

Results will be published on 20th May 2002. (Selection will be made by Organising Committee of Training) If you are selected you will be contacted by May 20th 2002 and will be asked to pay the participation fee to our bank account.
