Hi Davide, first of all, I am glad that you decided to keep on working in Aegee: you did the right choice, believe me... I have already written you that, although where I live now I have sun and beach and because of my work I can meet many people... well, without Aegee I really feel more lonely, especially because I was so use in Aegee to get friend with someone in five minutes that now that I have to CONVINCE people to do a trip and see the marvellous pleasant sightseeings of Spain... well I feel really astonished!!! (That's why I am trying to cooperate with some guys here and fund Aegee Alicante) About the Agora, and the vote... well, to me it is clear that the Chair and the JC were wrong but Eastern has passed and so we are out of time to crucifie them on the central plaza. With a quicker decision, and if in Utrecht the proposal about the enlighted dictature in Aegee had passed, probably we would have been in time for the Orthodox one. I am kidding, of course. I do not think that the rules need to many changements, simply probably the persons who are in charge to apply them should have more experience (and the persons among them who are experience should be on the spot and not somewhere else). In six months there is Athens, and they have time to repair to a fault that needed only to be admitted, because the real consequences seemed not so heavy. Dear friends, finally about the composition of Aegee bodies...do not forget that in Ankara there was a competition between to Spanish guys for the Presidency, but what I would like to stress is that before living here I spent one year in the Central Europe, and I got in touch with Polish antennae in Katowice... Guys!!! there people are so motivated and enthousiastic that you cannot blame them whether they can place 3 persons in the CD! Although I could not like it very much, that Region looks more a military than a student organisation and they keep things quite quite seriously (TOO MUCH, in my opinion). And anyway, you can also understand it: for them this are unforgettable years, they are making the History with the capitol letter. And this concern not only aegee members, but also institutions, universities and so on. My experience in Italy, that is one of the most "European-feeling" country it can NOT state the same, especially about institutions, whose absence, when Udine organised the Agora, was one of the reasons why I was really disappointed and I prefered for a short time to decrease my envolvement in the Association. Lobbying in Aegee? Well, to be serious... everybody does it and it has always been done, it is not a news, and although I hope nobody vote someone only because of his nationality, I do not think we should be scared of lobbying. It is quite normal to vote for people you know and you work with, and the people you work with are the ones of your Region or of your WG, with the not unrelevant difference that the Region has many many votes more than the WG at disposal. Finally... good luck to all the people who decide to give a part of their time to Aegee... it will be really worth and will leave you unforgettable experices... Davide, how much time passed from the last time you cried? :-PPPP Ciao, P. dott.
