::: Students propose New European Educational Programme | ||||
European
Education Campaign – EURECA, a project run in 2002 by AEGEE, has been
concluded with a draft of a new European Education Programme. It proposes
to introduce “Blended Learning”, wider use of summer courses combined with
the e-learning. Education programs should be implemented with special
focus on exchanges between EU and candidate countries, also for future
rounds of enlargement. |

Students' Convention |

The Students'
Convention - final conference of "Universities to Debate Europe" -
brought the closure to the project managed by the four largest student
Networks in Europe: AEGEE, JADE, ESIB and ESN. |

Based on the results
of local AEGEE debates in the framework of the Universities to Debate
Europe Project, an AEGEE position on the Future of
Europe was created. It includes AEGEE views on EU Institutional
Reform, EU Enlargement and Education in Europe. |

During the
weekend of 21st-24th November AEGEE-Europe, held its biannual General
Assembly in Athens. 700 delegates gathered to discuss the future of
AEGEE activities as well as AEGEE policies and statements. |

::: Historical Step Forward in Copenhagen | ||||
AEGEE-Europe welcomes the historical outcomes of the Copenhagen Summit and sees its relevance for voicing the visions and ideas of young people. AEGEE hopes that the further Enlargement of the European Union will increase the chances of young people for greater mobility and that students' involvement into the EU decision-making processes will be strengthened. |

::: AEGEE Education Policy Paper | ||||
AEGEE-Europe
has been carefully following the discussions concerning Education, which
take place within the Bologna Process, EU activities - such as the Lisbon
Process, as well as the impact of General Agreement on Trade and Services
on Education. AEGEE representing active, European-minded students, working
without a national level, sees the need of stronger involvement of
students in the discussion. During the AEGEE-Europe General Assembly in
Athens the AEGEE Education Policy Paper was accepted. |
