contributing to building up the future of our Association and constructing

:: EYE Contact in Ankara :: | ||||
In the month of October the European Students Forum AEGEE organised in Turkey two remarkable events. First, at the beginning of the month, students of all faiths and none gathered in Ankara for a conference to build understanding between the European and Muslim worlds. Then, on the 21-24th of October, in Izmir, they gathered in a discussion over Turkey and its EU accession chances, opportunities and threats. The Euro Islam Project, within whose framework the conference in Ankara was organised, is dealing with the theory of a modernized way of living the Islam in harmony with democratic structures. AEGEE, as a European Youth NGO, has the possibility to start discussions and exchanges all over Europe to find out if this theory is a fact, if there is a possibility for politicians to influence the developments and to change prejudices in Media etc. |
