On the occasion of this year full of AEGEE events dedicated to the cinema, also AEGEE-Roma is going to organize an event you can't absolutely miss!
3 days completely dedicated to the Italian cinema: 3 movies, 3 Italian Directors to know under different aspects, first of all the language of images...

The event will be realized in cooperation with a cultural association skilled in training cinema and multimedia professionals: VIDEOAMBIENTE School of Cinema.
The vision of the movies will be followed by a discussion under the supervision of a professor listening to the different interpretations of the partecipants and guiding them towards the tought of the director after a technical and structural reading of the movie.
The movies we'll analize are 3 headmasters of the Italian Cinema:

"Roma Cittą aperta" by R.Rossellini,
"Ladri di Biciclette" by V. De Sica and
"La dolce vita" by F.Fellini.

Moreover, we'll organize guided tours in the movies' set and we'll even visit the famous Cinecittą studios where most of the best Italian movies were carried out, and besides..  we'll form little working groups with the purpose to make a short film on the topic of the analized movies.
The event will take place between the 26th and the
29th of May and a group of 25 partecipants will take part.

We're waiting for your application!

"The cinema is a language we have to learn to translate. Watching a movie is like listening to a voice, an idea hidden in the story and in the single images of the movie. But watching a movie is also a personal experience. The Cineforum is an opportunity to guide and to be guided within a work of moving images, to get the contents and to learn a methodology to read the movie. After each movie, its various meaningful aspects will be analized (composition, music, colour, light, etc) so as to get the idea at the basis of that movie, the idea of the director."

Antonio Pluchino - Director of VIDEOAMBIENTE
