:: Quo Vadis Europe?:: | ||||
European
Students' Forum (AEGEE) concerned about the future of European
Integration. AEGEE, the European Students' Forum, believes that this
situation raises a serious concern, more than ever to the question: Where
is Europe going? We must stop and think over the factors and problems
preventing the citizens to show their free will for a united Europe and do
our best to solve these problems. AEGEE is inviting politicians to stress
this important opinion |

Being European is easy: we do it all the time! But what does it mean to act European? Does it exclude our national identity? Participate in the CWG project investigating European identity by completing the online survey, which is being carried out by the University of Burgundy and the European Students' Forum within the frame of the European research project. |

:: Monitoring Albanian Elections ::
This summer, in July 2005, national elections will take place in Albania. At the moment, political awareness among youth is small in Albania, and attention for youth and higher education is very low in the election campaigns. AEGEE-Shkoder, together with MJAFT movement and NDI would like to change this. MJAFT and IRSH (AEGEE-Shkoder) already cooperate with Citizens Forums. Since earlier elections have proven that elections are a key moment for democracy, the International Politics Working Group (IPWG) of AEGEE supports this initiative. The IPWG will assist in training of students in order to monitor the elections in a neutral way, and encourage people to take part as international observers. We have moral and technical support of the OSCE! For this reason AEGEE-Shkoder (part of the Albanian NGO "IRSH" invites AEGEE-ans from all over Europe to come to Albania and assist in the electoral process just as other AEGEE members had done in Ukraine in December. |

:: Performing Arts Summer School ::
About thirty-five talented young performing artists and directors from a wide range of disciplines, cultural origins and artistic backgrounds will come to Crete for about three weeks this summer. During the first two weeks they will prepare a performance for the public. In the course of rehearsals they will explore the relationship between communal life and the artistic process. Participants will go through an intense learning process, developing skills in intercultural teamwork, interdisciplinary rehearsal and multilingual performance, which will contribute to the quality of their professional work later. Artists unable to join the company for all of this time may be invited to stay for shorter periods during the summer school, to support the company, and work alongside them on related projects. |

:: café babel - Partner of the month ::
Aiming to go beyond national politics and media, every week café babel offers its readers critical analysis of European current affairs on the internet in six different languages. The
challenge: to create a multilingual European magazine on current affairs
designed for readers across borders, analysing the political and
intellectual evolution of the continent. A platform for Europe’s civil
society, café babel is the place where the voices and cultures of the
entire European continent are heard. It is the only media in Europe whose
authors write in their mother tongue: German, English, French, Spanish,
Italian, and Catalan since the 17th of May 2004. |
