Looking for partners for an approved CMS in Ankara
11-15 July 2006
(YOUTH Programme and SEE countries are eligible)
 
ΦZGάN Art & Culture Association with the support of  AFDAG YOUTH organises a Contact Making Seminar for the development of youth exchange projects with the title «Connecting Future», which will take place in, Ankara/Turkey, July 11th - 15th 2006.
 
The aim of this CMS is to promote contacts between youth workers and NGOs in order to get to know each other, to share experiences and ideas, exchange of information and to develop ideas for new youth exchange projects.
 

Application deadline

Please fill in the enclosed PART III and send it to AFDAG YOUTH at fax number +90.312.231.31.37 and ([log in to unmask]) until  30th of June at the latest. Final programme documents will be sent to participants soon.
 
Objectives
 
·          To bring together people working with young people in order to create new project ideas within the YOUTH Programme .
·          To get to know organisations from different parts of Europe and neighbours of Turkey.
·          To build new partnerships between Programme countries and partners from South East Europe.
·          To create atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, working styles, etc.
·          To provide knowledge about possibilities of co-operation with South East Europe within the YOUTH Programme.
·          To develop projects with Eastern Europe p artners.
·          Promote YOUTH Programme and Action 1, 2, 3 and 5.
·          Learn how to plan project with partners.
·          Share knowledge and exchange experiences.
 
Profile of participants
·         Voluntary or professional youth workers, youth leaders, project coordinators working directly with youngsters, who are interested in setting up international exchange projects.
·          Motivated to find  partners from the countries involved in the CMS and develop new exchange projects especially with Eastern Europe countries.
·          18 years old or over.
·          Be able to communicate in English.
·          Have some experience in working youngsters and organizing international projects.
 
Programme Elements
·         YOUTH Programme presentation with special focus on cooperation with SEE countries within Action 1 projects
·         How to organize good Youth Exchange projects.
·          Intercultural learning in Youth Exchange projects.
·          Partnerships - rights and obligations of partners.
·          Presentation of participants and organisations - Organisations Fair.
·          Actions Planning.
Date and Venue
CMS will take place in Ankara, which is the capital city of Turkey. With students of Ankara University, METU, Hacettepe, Gazi, Bilkent and the Military Academies, Ankara is a planned modern city of students. Ankara is the only large urban center in the interior of Turkey with a European appearance. Ankara includes lots of museums, monuments and historical places to see. The area has also natural beauties like Elmadaπ mountain, Kύzύlcahamam Thermal Spring and Gφlbaώύ Lake. The participants will most probably stay in the guesthouse. Arrivals should be arranged on Wednesday, 11 th July.
 
Travel
Flights should be booked to �Esenboπa Airport� in Ankara, where you can catch airport shuttle buses to the HAVAή City Terminal in the center of Ankara.
 
Costs
ΦZGάN Art & Culture and AFDAG, as hosting organization, will cover 70% of travel costs (domestic traveling, international traveling). The host will take care of all accommodation, programme, food and local transport costs . Please do not forget to bring the Official Invoice (receipt) of your flight tickets, boarding passes! The insurance is the participants� own responsibility!!
 
Preparation
Participants should bring:
·          info materials (leaflets, brochures, posters, photos, etc.) for their organization
·          a typical national food and/or drink for the intercultural evening and  some music from their countries
