And finally here comes the second R-TG! This is the result of many hours of
work so please make sure you send it to all your members and encourage them
to join the Rainbow-l, so that they too can be updated about what's
happening in their region. In this edition you will see that certain changes
are being proposed to the structure of the regions while our friends in
Napoli are busy organising the next Agora and those in Cosenza, Rome, Udine
Salerno, Catania and Ljubljana are sure to organize other successful
events... we have also included a Mad House Close Up and another page from
the Diary of an Agora in the Making. Read on… and enjoy!

Dear AEGEEeans, in this number of our R-TG, we want to underline the changes
concerning the distribution of the locals all over the AEGEE Network that
will take effect at the upcoming AGORA especially for one reason: to
communicate and explain the changes to the locals interested and to be
transparent. Why has the Netcom taken this decision? The NetCom, you know,
has the important task to improve communication in the Network and to bring
all the AEGEE bodies closer.

During the last Netcom Meeting (meeting of the Network Commission) in
Brussels (August 2006) it has decided, after 2 workshops in EBM Sofia and
Agora Warszawa, and some informal discussions during the previous Regional
Meetings, on the suggestion of our Network Development Director Vaggelis, to
develop the concept of restructuring its task division in order to make all
the Network stronger where necessary and to better coordinate all the
locals. This also because in the last 10 years, since the Regional division
was introduced, our Network is completely changed, and some areas developed
a lot than others. We've realised that some Netcommies have more locals to
coordinate than others and so we've decided, after not few discussions and
different points of view, to get a newly distribute the locals. The Netcom
is given the task by the CIA (Statutes of AEGEE Europe), through its Working
Format, to make changes of this kind every 6 months. As you know, the
Regions are administrative tools in order to work efficiently and to get
good results for all. If you want to know more about the new internal task
decision you can click here http://www.commissions.aegee.org/netcom/news.php
<http://www.commissions.aegee.org/netcom/news.php> . For every question we
are Always at Your disposal, especially to give the clearest overview about
the new changes….

AEGEEfully Yours, Dino

Dear AEGEE friends, we are honoured to invite you to participate in the
Network Meeting in Cosenza. We are very happy and excited about organizing
this event because it is the first Network Meeting we are organizing. We are
excited and anxious to meet new people and other AEGEE members. We are eager
to get to work and have fun.

AEGEE-Cosenza is offering to host you in the beautiful town by the sea,
Ricadi, near Calabria 's famous tourist attraction Tropea. We chose Ricadi
because we believe that it can offer AEGEE representatives the chance to
experience the Calabrian culture, traditions, and beauty. Get ready to work
hard and have such a great time partying and working that you won't want to
leave Ricadi!!

The meeting will be held at, ‘'Il Porticello'', an old water mill which has
been renovated into a villa/hotel by the sea. It is situated in front of the
Eolie Islands and south of Tropea, between Capo Vaticano and the rocks of
the Grotta delle Sirene. "Il Porticello" is divided into 20 independent
two-room apartments with bath, access to the sea, pool, garden, solarium,
billiard room, reading room, TV room, and bar. The beach is about 10 metres
far, while the pool is at the centre of the building. For more information
you can visit the website: www.ilporticello.it

The deadline to apply for this event has already passed but if you are

Let me introduce myself: I am Valentina, 21 years old, member of
AEGEE-Milano, studying Political Sciences…basically, the typical AEGEE-girl!

Why am I writing this article? Well, I had the luck to be chosen by our
beloved Comité Directeur as its General Assistant! The CD made an open call,
I sent my CV, they thought I was the right person and I flew to Brussels ,
nothing simpler than that! I ended up in the crazy CD house, where all the
AEGEE-magic happens, and I had the chance to live with the wonderful CD
members: Alistair, Asia , Bojana, Michele, Orsy, Stefan, Theijs and
Vaggelis.

Working with the CD means a lot of serious work to do: projects to be
implemented, AEGEE ideals coming to a concrete shape, deadlines to be
respected and everything else needed to strengthen our Association. There's
no time for being bored, every day it's a new challenge: the structure of
AEGEE needs constant improvements, and the CD is working really hard on
that. I assist the CD members with their daily tasks (that's why I am the
GENERAL Assistant!), doing researches on major issues like European
policies, contacting Ministers and MPs…and even searching through the dusty
archive has a reason if you see the higher cause above!

I had the opportunity to learn how to deal with official tasks in a very
friendly and multicultural environment; it's hard work, but very rewarding,
both on the professional and personal level. Pay attention to what's going
on in our association, AEGEE offers lots of opportunities to you as well,
just search and dare…you will not regret it!

Valentina Morselli

General Assistant to the CD

15 years ago, in a valley surrounded by beautiful green hills and snowy
mountains, a new star was born. It was named AEGEE-Ljubljana after its place
of birth, the capital of Slovenia . Of course, the star was quite
inexperienced at the beginning, but with the help of its members it started
shining more and more and it eventually became one of the brightest stars in
the AEGEE constellation. It brought different people together, helping them
realize their ideas by working in a friendly environment.

  <http://rainbowaegee.altervista.org/rainbowtg/images/rainbow-new_31.gif>

The AEGEE spirit was highly addictive, therefore new and new students were
participating, and today the little star has around 200 members. Its members
have been organizing highly successful projects, such as Training for
Trainers, RMs, PRES, ES, and cultural exchanges. The curious, optimistic,
and blinking little star is now in the middle of its puberty, which makes
her want to do everything – Diplomatic seminar in March, Dirty Dancing
through Slovenia in June/July, Motivation weekend in October.

  <http://rainbowaegee.altervista.org/rainbowtg/images/rainbow-new_34.gif>

  <http://rainbowaegee.altervista.org/rainbowtg/images/rainbow-new_35.gif>

Loving its culture so much, it is sharing it with other stars in the form of
the annual Traditional Slovenian Drinks and Habits , which is taking place
for the 8 th time in row this December.

15 th birthday is a big thing for the little star; therefore it celebrates
it twice – by throwing a delicious AEGEE barbeque in May for its local
members, and by travelling through time with European members in December.
The shining star warmly welcomes you to book your seat in this time machine,
to creatively bring back the memories, and to make a toast with a glass of
champagne to many happy years to follow!

Hello again Agora addicted!!! One month is left for the great Fall Agora
Napoli 2006 and the organizing team is just looking forward to meeting the
lucky 1000 selected participants and finally seeing the result of months of
sleepless nights. Accepted participants can really consider themselves lucky
people because of the huge amount of applications that were submitted (more
than 1500!!! One the highest number ever reached) that implies that one
person over three won't be able to join this expected grandiose event.

Participants can find all the necessary info to get to Napoli, info about
pre and post events (in Roma, Salerno and Catania) basic Neapolitan language
course and much more on the agora website http://agora.aegee-napoli.org/
<http://agora.aegee-napoli.org/> .

As already announced the 1000 AEGEE people will be sleeping in the Mostra
D'Oltremare centre and like in the last Agora will be hosted in a gym but
the plenaries will be held in the nice and sensational atmosphere of one of
the most famous theatres in Napoli the “Teatro Mediterraneo”, and Another
surprise is waiting for you….on the 4 th of November there will be the most
important match of Italian football league Napoli-Juventus and the match
will be played only 50 metres from the Agora accommodation!!!!! So Football
lovers Get Ready…

What else? Of course as in every Agora there will be the biggest AEGEE
parties just imagine a whole club crowed by 1000 happy and crazy people in
the best disco of Napoli and let's hope the weather will be nice as usual in
Napoli so that the city will show its beautiful landscapes, monuments and
above all sea and beaches (lucky visitors…). More surprises are also coming
for the meals….Can an Agora in Italy neglect the food importance??? Of
course not!!! So just wait for it….

Well most important don't forget to bring your sleeping bag even if there
will not be much time for sleeping, also your typical drink for the
traditional European drinking night and above all your good mood four days
of pure AEGEE spirit are awaiting you!!!!!

So as soon as you are accepted get your flight ticket…. Napoli wants for
you!!!!!
