Dear AEGEEeans,
How are you?
After a Great Agora ( Thanks
AEGEE Napoli!!!) , I came back home with head full of
ideas but also with a big overview about the main & various problems of
our Network ( I suggest you to follow and to take part at the
interesting discussion on the AEGEE L) and I got really motivated to
continue the work with my Team in order to get some concrete results
within the end of April 2007 when I'll conclude my term as
Netcommie at the Spring Agora Valletta ( Good luck guys!! It's Your time
now...): We're just planning the next training courses, NetTrips, PR
Campaigns etc... so that in the future everyone of you will be aware about
the importance of our lovely Association, the biggest European Student's
FORUM. Don't forget that me & the SubCommies are here for YOU,
don't hesitate to contact us for ALL (my MSN contact is [log in to unmask]); I'm planning also to
organize several mini-MSN meetings with board members of
different locals ( at the top 5 everytimes) and with the SubCommies of reference
in order to get a broad overview of our Network and to assure a strong approach
with everyone of you, even if I prefer always to visit all of you as soon as
possible.
On behalf of all the
team I wish all the best to the new
boards elected in this period pre & post
Agora: Firenze, Salerno, Treviso, Maribor, Palermo & Cagliari [don't forget to give
communication of the new boards to the ABC team in order to
update the Address Book - [log in to unmask] and
also to the AEGEE L] and I invite all the new board
members to subscribe to our L, to be informed about all the news and
to increase the communication about Us, because we are strong if we are united
and we are united only if we are in good contact with each others, in all the
Network! The first step is always the same: get in touch with the
neighbours!
I really want to
THANK YOU all the participants of the last Mini-Network
Meeting organized during the Agora Napoli and I hope to
receive the group-picture that we did at the end of that
meeting; was a great pleasure to meet fresh & motivated members of
several locals and to meet also a member from AEGEE
Sarajevo, a local that I really look forwad to visit in the next
six months of my term. I'm planning to organize some NetTrips to meet members of
the Slovenian, Croatian locals and also Sarajevo but I really would like to
taste the AEGEE spirit of everyone of you as during the last meeting....
UPDATES OF "OUR"
NETWORK:
UPGRADE to
Antenna: COSENZA ( they've organized
a GREAT Network Meeting and now are planning the organization of their first SU!
Congratulations!!), TIRANE ( new
local of our group, Welcome!! )
DELETE:
Contact GENOVA
New Contact: VERCELLI (Now in TEAM
Georgios)
No downgrades this
time.
Perugia, Viterbo and
Terni are going to send a motivation letter to become contact to
the headoffice. Our Team is working to establish new contacts around all over
area: besides Perugia, Terni & Viterbo, also Koper, Zadar, Banja Luka,
Sassari, Campobasso and Potenza. We hope to get some important results. We're
going to promote a new strong PR campaign supporting the new & weak locals
and strenghting the existing ones.
*** Last but not
least, as you know, at the Fall AGORA Napoli, some really important
and historical
Network changes decided
by the majority of the NetCom, to which we've introduced in the last six
months and especially at the workshop during the Agora, has taken effect;
Here the changes at a
glance:
- Changing in the internal
division of the locals per Netcom
TEAMs according to the current needs of the Network. [ for
instance TEAM + name Network Commissioner of reference] - look at the file on
the attachment-
- Avoiding using the
Regional Names ( Carpathia, Rainbow, Spirit etc...) [ there aren't more Regions]; so by now the
former Rainbow Region is the Team Dino point
of reference for a group of locals (36 Antennae, 1 Contact) , and
this name will change with new Netcommies. At the AGORA
Napoli there was the first mini Network Meeting of the Team
Dino.
The NetCom is given the
task by the CIA (Statutes of AEGEE-Europe), through its Working Format, to make
such kind of regional distribution changes at a minimum period of every 6
months. Regions were a tool for Network Commissioners to work efficiently. Now
there are group of locals assigned by the decision of the whole Network
Commission in order to make the Network stronger and more
effective.
*** I have to respect
the decision taken by the majority of the NetCom and work for all the
Network to get the best. I've decided to remain till Valletta2007
Netcommie to support and serve everyone of You and I've really appreciated
your support & enthusiasm till now during my trips for our work.
*** The next NETCOM MEETING ***
will take place again
in BRUXELLES,
with the new
Network Development Director Pedro Vieira ( from Lisboa)
between 7-10th
DECEMBER.
New NetCom Speaker
Team:
Speaker : Marek
Urban - Vice Speaker: Georgios Toloumenidis
- Renaming the Regional
Meetings to the Network Meetings, deciding upon common sessions
for all of them. The first one organized for our group of locals was the
Fall Netrok Meeting in Cosenza [ NWM in Cosenza] ; now we're looking for
an other local organizer the Spring Network Meeting in March/April]
- Synchronising the way of
admistration of the "regional" mailing lists
- Creating the separate
strategies for weak areas in the Network: UK, Ireland, France and
Scandinavia.
ps: next trip -
Firenze (17th-20th November)
AEGEEFULLY
YOURS,
Dino
