Dear Silvia, dear
All,
Thanks for your questions,
just for a little bit you've forestalled me because I was going to write an
e.mail about these very important topics.
So, concerning the 1st
question about the lack of a Spring NWM in this part of the Network.
Since the end of December,
after the e.mail sent by Marek ( look at the attachment) I've waited
for a local interested in organizing the Spring NWM ( now , as you
know, we have two meetings every year - Fall & Spring Network
Meetings - and not more only one - Regional Meeting- as before) and,
because I didn't receive any candidatures of locals, I've tried since the end of
January/beginning February, to check the situation of several locals, especially
in the Centre-Italy, and I've found unfortunately some difficulties of
different reasons but anyway I've given a lot of time to some locals to think
about it and maybe it was a mistake of mine. At the end of
February/beginning March I've found an other local interested in organizing this
event so important for all where I would like to discuss several points with
you, but they didn't send me till now any confirmation. Then, unfortunately,
I had also some private problems for one month and so I was not
able to take care about it.
The locals of our Network
are, likely, active in the organization of several european events and local
activities and when you're looking for a local available in organizing a NWM is
not so easy and I've found some walls this time. Anyway, I'm sorry
with all if till now I was not so lucky & able to find a local
interested and I hope that within the end of May we can organize it, also
because I'll not disappeared but I'll be always at your
disposal in the Team after the AGORA Valletta, as SubCommie and precious
support for my successor as the dear Anna was/is for me...
....And ( 2sn
Question) about this other important topic, the Successor,
I'm looking for a successor among the SubCommies but till now
everyone of them is busy with different things and I'll do all my best till the
day before the Agora to find a good successor... To be a NetCommie, guys, is a great experience and for sure when I've
decided to do this important step I had not a lot of experience in this field
but thanks to the great enthusiasm of my dear & precious SubCommies and
thanks to the important suggestions and support of my predecessor
Anna, I've dedicated great part of my time to all the locals getting in
touch with different tools ( MSN/phone calls/e.mails etc..) and taking care
about the different situation in order to find the best ways to support anyone
of You. This is an experience that I really suggest to all and as I just
told you you can get in touch with me in order to ask me
every kind of info about this prestigious role in the
association.... Now I'm preparing also a report of our work that
I'll send you on this L soon, so you can have an idea about the tasks of a
Netcommie, a simple member who has decided to serve & protect
You...
Nobody is
perfect but for sure I'll do my best to solve these problems and I hope to
be a little bit more lucky than now :-)
Silvia, Thanks again
for your questions,
AEGEEfully
Yours,
Dino

Subject: Re: [RAINBOW-L] Happy Easter (in
advance) & more.... :-)
Dear
Dino, dear Rainbow team,
I would like to thank you for your wishes,
though if we do it for Easter we should do it for any other religious
celebration...but anyway, maybe it's the influence of the current discussion
on AEGEE-L which makes me write this.
My reason fro writing here is
to ask you two simple questions:
1) When and where will we have a
Network Meeting in this part of the Network? Yes I know that people from this
side can take part to any NM, but still if they don't have the opportunity to
move it's a nice way to meet and share experience..I don't think I need to
explain how useful is a NM, both for Netcom team and the Network
itself.
2) What will happen after Valletta? I know your mandate is
going to expire, and I haven't seen any presentation from a person who wants
to take over, and God knows how much a good and experienced leader is present,
so I am sure you are taking care of this and I would like if possible you to
share your experience with the locals, so that maybe someone can get
interested.
Thank you for your
answers,
Silvia
