            Troy Fest IV
            40 participants from all over Europe met at the 4th Troy Youth Fest in Canakkale. As a post event of ES1 Canakkale, Troy Fest took part between the dates 1-3 April 2007. At this traditional event, participants had a chance to taste Turkish culture from every perspective (dance, cuisine, music, history, traditions) with workshops and tours. With great sightseeing tours to world wide famous historical places such as Troy Ancient City, original Wooden Trojan Horse, Museums, participants had 3 amazing days in city Canakkale. As AEGEE- Canakkale advertised even on the application page of the event, participants "went with the rhythm, and enjoyed Turkey" with crazy parties and sleepless nights. Not to mention that in the last 3 years, 300 AEGEE members joined TroyFest events and may be it will be your turn to be the part of this great event next time!

            A COLOURFUL WORLD in the land of Wine
            The event was opened with the opening speeches by the local authorities and president of AEGEE-Tekirdag, afterwards a short Turkish Language course and city tour followed it in the afternoon.
            The city museums were visited after the conference on Tekirdag and Thrace history. A conference on Viticulture was held, and the historical sites of the city were visited. To taste the delicious vine from the barrels in the factories, three vine factories were visited and participants had a chance to ask their questions to producers. Every night, fun was part of the program, so hot parties made participants very tired but happy. Participants were from Latvia, Hungary, Italy, Ukraine and Bask part of Spain. At the end of the event, everybody was happy to know each other and at least they broke some of the prejudices about each other.

            Network Meeting - Porto
            This important event organized by AEGEE-Porto and Network Commission took place in lovely city Porto between the dates 13-15 April 2007. The event was gathered nearly 40 participants from the region and provided good atmosphere to discuss the regional issues, strategies and of course the upcoming events. In contrast to this serious atmosphere, participants visited the city and also enjoyed wild parties during 3 days.

            BALTIC EXPRESS Training Course
            The Baltic Express Training Course, an event which aimed to train the new members and experienced members of all the Baltic local, and to give them the motivation and enthusiasm to become more active and improve their activities, reached its target! Between the dates 20-22 April 2007, participants especially from Baltic locals attended the lectures which give a theoretical background, and a case study afterwards, which provided them with the necessary practical experiences and skills. For sure fun, parties and sauna were not underestimated by the organizers.

            From 24th to 26th of April 56 members of different AEGEE locals visited Pisa in order take part in Agora pre-event "Pisa-Valletta ONE-WAY". We wanted to give all of them opportunity to fun for 3 days visiting Piazza dei Miracoli, Lucca and ancient Pisa.
            What did we do?
            - we showed our guests Old City
            - we organized very nice parties
            - we let them taste typical Italian food
            - we threatened them with the story about fantastic Leaning Tower and Miracle Square;

            The Summer University application is still open; all the member of AEGEE can apply until 18th of May via the SU web page www.aegee.org/su. This is the most famous and successful project in AEGEE, which started in 1988, takes place each year and involves more than 150 cities and 6000 students in 30 different European countries. This project has been developed by AEGEE-Europe as the main tool to promote European Integration among young citizens.

            A Summer University is usually a two-week event organized by an AEGEE local when about 20 to 60 students come together from all over Europe. One of the project's keys to success is its effort to involve as many people as possible in a multi-cultural environment. For approximately 120 euros, a student can attend a 14 days Summer University event in a foreign country.
