Ciao Graziana, ciao a tutti :)

Silvia

Oggetto: Re: [RAINBOW-L] FRES - Financial Management Training Course

Hi Antonio, hi everybody..

actually, I exactly thought the same thing when I first checked the trainers of the event.. so I have to agree with what you re saying..

Becasue, the aim of inviting an external trainer (e.g:salto) is to provide somebody who can give the best or ,at least, a very high quality information on a particular subject of the training... if you select trainers with this aim, salto is a very useful tool for selecting ext. trainers.. but if you select somebody who has "a bit " information on the subject of the training, it is not so smart;) I belive that there are already many Academy trainers in AEGEE who have more than "a bit" knowledge on FR :-)

and I personally know the rest of the Academy trainers of the event... I think we dont need to discuss anything on Burcu :) she is one of the best people to talk about FR in AEGEE.. and the other 2 AEGEE members: Mathias and Maria.. they are also both very experienced in AEGEE and trainings..also they re great people in character.. so I cannot have any doubt if participants will learn from them or not.. I am pretty sure that participants are gonna love them and learn A LOOTTTTTT!! they are reallly good trainers..

But back to topic, what you are saying is partly true in my opinion..I also thought the same when I saw the trainers names on the website.. "uppsss, nice but its FRES...??

In thematic academy events( pres-fres-ites etc..), we must NOT select good trainers in general, but the good trainers in that particular subject of the course... so, if a good trainer puts NONE for her information on the subject of the training, then we must focus on other tranings.. so, I must agree with you, Antonio, in this issue.

but anyway.. as we know very well that things do not work in that way in AEGEE.. If you are manager, you are free to select whoever you want as trainers..

and in general.. sad but true , project managers generally prefer to work with their "good friends".. friendzzzzzz rule:-)

anyway.. the manager is Burcu, i trust her.. if she wanted it in this way.. she must know something that we dont know..and I still do believe that partcipants will LEARN A LOT out of this trainings..

I already forwarded it to a number local mailing lists to let all AEGEE members know about this training..

Greetings to all..

Hi there!
I have one question: this event has a manager very expert in financial management and FR (and not just), but 2 out of 3 other trainers in their "Salto" profile have indicate NONE or "a bit" of experience in FR and financial management.
Usually PM of an event is not doing also trainings, so my question: what could an AEGEE member learn out of this event? Or maybe there will be other trainers expert in FR, not indicated in the website? http://www.aegee-academy.org/es/page.php?id=174
Ciao
Antonio
