Dear Aegeeans, Dear Network,
AEGEE-Napoli’s local agora has democratically written down this report.
This is about our former president, Claudio Armandi, who presented himself as candidate for the Network Commission.
Well, after a long discussion, AEGEE Napoli decided NOT to vote for him as next Net Com, and even to strongly discourage him from applying for this position.
This may look weird, it needs an explanation.
We’re not here to tell local stories that nobody cares about, we just want to evaluate the job of our former president, so that you know more about him and choose to vote, for him or not, with more information.
First of all it’s important to know that when Claudio Armandi presented himself as a candidate for president of A-Napoli, we were the first to trust in him; but, after few months, we discovered that it was a serious mistake, cause suddenly he started to show a dictatorial, childish and strange behaviour with the rest of the board, giving no explanation.
Well, when working alone he was surely able to do a good job, but when it had been time to be in a team and democratically lead people with different opinions the situation completely changed.
On the last term, he never came to our local agorae, meetings that we had to organize without a president.
He did not want to take part in our summer event’s organization, without a proper reason. He refused any kind of collaboration; for example he decided not to give us the contacts for the activities.
But the most serious thing happened since September 1st, after the resignation of the board and before the new election: without consulting anyone, he deleted all the members of our board from the intranet, leaving himself as the sole controller of our antenna. He then managed on his own the applications for the Agora, changing the list of visitors in a definitely selfish way.
Only with the help of Matteo Scarpa, our netcommie, he added us back to the intranet 2 weeks later. And luckily, after contacting the CD and reporting the incident, the selections for the Agora were reset and rebuilt during one of our local meetings.
Finally, after the election of the new board, he did not return AEGEE Napoli’s ATM card, claiming he had destroyed it.
As you can see there were some problems with him in our antenna; problems that we tried solving inside our group, but it has not been possible.
Now maybe you can see why A-Napoli decided not to vote for him as Net Com.
A-Napoli thinks that Claudio Armandi is not the right person for a position of high responsibility in a team, specially the Network Commission. We want to avoid that the damages happened in A-Napoli can repeat here, we want to avoid that the atmosphere of suspicion against everybody and the childish revenges against the people who have a different opinion from him happen again.
This is Claudio Armandi and this is his way of acting; now it 's up to you to choose whether to vote for him or not.
Truly Yours.
AEGEE Napoli
