Dear Network,

you know that the activity in AEGEE and in the European institutions has returned at its full speed when you get plenty of news to be added to the newsletter.

We are very happy to deliver you plenty of opportunities in this issue, both within and outside AEGEE! Our first AEGEE teams have gather at the Headoffice for their internal meetings, and you will surely hear from them soon. Moreover, many Network Meetings and training events will be taking place soon, so make sure not to miss them!

We have also been following very closely the current happenings in Europe - mainly, the current refugee crisis, which has triggered many reactions and calls for support, and we would like to hear your opinion as well: how can we, as AEGEE members, contribute to have a meaningful impact in this issue?

Hoping that you will enjoy reading our newsletter and make the most of our opportunities, we wish you a very nice week!

Europeanly yours,
your Comité Directeur 2015-2016

Beyond AEGEE

Refugee crisis - #WeApologise

"As Europeans, #WeApologise on behalf of our national and European leaders for their inexcusable lack of coordinated humanitarian aid to the situation you and thousands of others are in while crossing our borders to escape war, persecution and poverty".

AEGEE-Europe supports the open letter and call for action by Social Platform, together with several other civil society organisations.

We believe that as European citizens we have the duty to call for and take action to show solidarity with the refugees. This need is also reflected in the statement of principles of AEGEE saying that we value Europe that ‘is built upon the foundations of respect, tolerance and solidarity’.

Moreover, we would like to leave the floor to you: what do you think AEGEE members can do in this situation? You can now share your thoughts at the Forum, too!

ERASMUS - When Citizens Build Europe
