welcome to the last newsletter of AEGEE-Europe of the year 2015! Today we are bringing you the latest news to give you a fresh and very AEGEEan start of 2016, from all the initiatives that you can get involved in, to the events that you can still apply for.

Concerning the events, we would especially like to remind you that the applications for EPM Leiden 2016 are closing soon! Make sure to apply on time in case you haven't yet - discussions on the topic of migration and AEGEE's plans in our four Focus Areas are awaiting.

So, how are you planning to start your AEGEE year in 2016? We look forward to meeting you somewhere in Europe and, not least importantly, to wish you happy holidays and a wonderful start of the year!

Catalan election - Final report by AEGEE Election Observation

An AEGEE Election Observation Mission (EOM) was present in Catalonia, Spain, from 23rd to 29th September 2015, following an accreditation from the Central Election Committee of Barcelona. The final report of the EOM, including recommendations, is now available on our website.

ACT - Open Call for Best Practices

Have you organized a really interesting event related to the Action Agenda lately? Did you hear of or participate in any workshops which were so memorable you would recommend it to anyone? ACT needs YOU. We are looking to form a document with the best Action Agenda fulfilling events, to be used as inspiration for future possible events. You can do so by filling in the Google Form.

Your Vision for EUrope - Open Call

The Your Vision for EUrope project is looking for 4 new members: 1 Financial Manager and 3 Content Team members (a Faces of Europe coordinator, an online discussion responsible and an offline activities responsible). New team members must be able to integrate quickly into a team that has just started realising objectives the aim and objectives of the project.

The latest newsletter from the Civic Education Working Group was sent. You can read it here. This time we have a lot of calls to action and a lot of relevant news from around Europe. The topic has been hot last month, and still is!

The SUbmission of Summer Universities for 2016 has just started! So we have prepared some useful guidelines and information about creating the content of the Summer University, cooperating with AEGEE-Europe bodies and simply organizing a SU in a perfect way. Applications for participants almost there!

It's December and that means that we're not far away from opening the applications for the coolest training events in AEGEE: European Schools! This year you will get the chance to learn about how to run an antenna (ES1), how to become a trainer (Training New Trainers), how to fundraise (FRES) and how to improve your Summer University (SUPS)!

Our president, Aleksandra Kluczka, was invited to share AEGEE's vision of a borderless Europe at the panel discussion 'Portability: opportunities for cultural diversity?', hosted by MEPs Julia Reda and Jill Evans, and you can read our report here. Let's tear down these digital walls!

Unleashing the #futureoftraining - Trainers' Forum 2015 in Breno, Italy

AEGEE-Europe was proud to support the final training event of the Quality Assurance in Training project, a two-year cooperation between AEGEE-Europe, Board of European Students of Technology and Youth for Exchange and Understanding International supported by the European Commission. The future of non-formal education can only be aided by quality training events, and we are looking forward to continuing our work on educating the active citizens and trainers of tomorrow!

MY-WAY Project – Cooperation of Web Entrepreneurship Initiatives

MY-WAY is a project that was launched in January 2015 with the aim to enhance and improve the collaboration and efforts of web entrepreneurship initiatives. AEGEE-Castelló is our ACTive Local of the Month

AEGEE-Castelló is the ACTive Local of the Month of August. They organised a Summer University (SU) with AEGEE-Valencia, and this great collaboration brought loads of success with it. They are not only the ACTive Local of the Month, but also the most applied-for Summer University.

Meet the Summer University Coordination Team 2015-2016

During Autumn Agora Kyïv a new Summer University Coordination Team (SUCT) was elected. Four people, coming from four corners of Europe, started working with a team meeting in Brussels. We asked our fab four some questions to understand how the longest-running project of AEGEE will change (and improve) this year.

Planning Erasmus+: now is the time!

The Erasmus+ deadline for February is closer than you think... so it is time to start planning! Intercultural understanding and especially the topic of migration are the key priorities of the program for 2016. However, youth employment, mobility, European citizenship and more can still be included!

Do you have any ideas for your application, but do not know where to start?
Do you have any doubts about which Key Action to use? You are not sure how the application procedure works? Check the Members Portal for several documents and guides about Erasmus+, or approach the Comité Directeur by contacting Anna ([log in to unmask]). We will be glad to help!

Human Rights Day 2015 involves the AEGEE Network

The Human Rights day took place last week, and several AEGEE antennae organised local events to promote the initiative. Over 20 locals took part in it, and Democracy in Practice has been documenting it in their Facebook page and been in contact with all the locals, by providing guidelines for their activities. Congratulations to all the antennae for organising these events!
