Dear Network,

just a few days ago, over 300 AEGEE members gathered in Leiden for our European Planning Meeting - in there, we discussed one of the most pressing topics in the European agenda at the moment, the refugee crisis, and we drafted our Action Agenda for 2016-2017, which will give a direction to our thematic work for the next year.

We came back with lots of determination, ideas and pride of seeing such a high level of participation and discussions among AEGEE members, both during the drafting of our objectives and when debating about the potential solutions and our possible contribution while, at the same time, challenging our idea of a borderless Europe and what it meant to be European throughout the history.

The conclusions and results of the European Planning Meeting will soon be published! In the meantime, we would really like to thank all the AEGEE members present for your commitment and active participation! A special thanks goes to our Content Managers, our ACTies, and the organisers of AEGEE-Leiden and the crew behind, who did an outstanding job and gave their contribution to a really high-quality EPM!

Luckily, you won't have to wait long to meet several AEGEEans again. There are plenty of other events coming up - thematic conferences, Network Meetings and the Spring Agora Bergamo! It's your time to choose, where will AEGEE take you next?

We wish you a pleasant reading!
Europeanly yours,

the Comité Directeur 2015-2016

Introducing the Locals and Members of the Month of December

AEGEE-Zaragoza was chosen as the Local of the Month of December. However, with so many locals to choose from, what did this enthusiastic local from the northeast of Spain do to earn it, and what are its plans for the future? AEGEE-Zaragoza explains.

Moreover, our Member of the Month of December must be the youngest recipient ever. Shams Mammadli is just 18 and she is the PR Responsible of AEGEE-Bakı. We chose her because she was in charge of the “Love has no language” project, in the framework of AEGEE-Bakı’s Language Working Group.

HousErasmus+ Survey

Going abroad to study or work is always a great life experience and one of the most important values of our European identity, but students find it difficult to access useful information prior to their arrival and communication platforms designed to help them are not always optimal.

That is why the HousErasmus+ project aims to identify all the challenges and best practices that students and trainees face when they are looking for an accommodation abroad. What is your story? Tell us by filling in the survey!
