Dear Rainbow Local Members,

One of the goals of this year is to increase the cooperation between locals and, in order to do so, we suggest you to organise similar events. The first one of them is a blood donation day on the 14th of February called “Donating is Caring”, of which we already talked about during the NWM in Naples. This event gives you the possibility to:

• Organise a socially useful activity; 

• Get visibility in your city also through the echo of the same event organised by other locals;

• Establish a new collaboration with the association that takes care of the donations;

• Promote AEGEE in a different way.

Can the event be organised only by the Rainbow locals? Obviously not :) this wants to be a nice initiative to give the possibility to organise something different from the usual events even to the smaller locals.

What do you need to do to organise the blood donation day:

- Contact the association that takes care of the donations in your city (in Italy is usually AVIS) by 23/01 and ask them if they are available to place their bloodmobile in front of the University.

- Create the event with the cover photo attached to this file by 01/02 with this description (feel free to change it or to add a version in your native language and please add your logo and the other association/the University one as showed in the second pic attached)

On the 14th of February, on Valentine’s Day, do something different and donate your blood :) this simple gesture can save someone else’s life!

The -association-’s bloodmobile will be available the whole day so that you can donate in front of the University of -city-.

The requirements for the donation are -you have to ask the association because they are different in every city-.

AEGEE-local- will keep you company while you queue to talk about our amazing association.

- Keep us updated on how the promotion is going or if you need help;

- Post event:  collect data on how many people donated blood in your city, on your feedbacks and general involvement and send us by 24/02.
