The applications for the second SMASH training are open! SMASH stands for Structural Measures Against Sexual Harassment, and it’s a project dedicated to train young people on how to be Safe Persons and tackle sexual harassment in youth contexts. The second SMASH training will take place from the 12th till the 16th of June (12th is arrival day, and 16th departure day) in Helsinki, Finland, organised by AEGEE-Helsinki in cooperation with AEGEE-Europe. | Apply for the Youth Summit: Young Europe is Voting From the 6.5.-12.5.19 the Youth Summit is happening at the Youth Island in front of Copenhagen. 200 young people between 18-25 gather to discuss about Youth under pressure, Culture & Identity, Climate, Refugees & Migration and EU in the World.

NIYF is a very special and interesting event that takes place in Azerbaijan.
But first of all, what is Novruz – International Youth Festival? NIYF is the annual celebration of Novruz with the youth from all around the world. This project will give you a unique chance to experience different parts and acts of NOVRUZ holiday, such as jumping over bonfires running through the streets, banging on pots and pans with spoons and knocking on doors with your hats and bags to ask for little presents (sweets and candies) and tasting national cookies, such as shekerbura, pakhlava, goghal that you have never had before!
What is our mission?
-To create a culturally diverse and open environment where all of the participants will be able to express their own culture and appreciate the others’, discuss different global issues and so on
-To gain mutual respect for the different cultures in the world and promote peace in our big home – Earth
-To explore ancient traditions and habits of Azerbaijan culture, to celebrate the antique holiday Novruz – the beginning of spring in Azerbaijan
If you need any visa documents we will send you special documents from Azerbaijan Migration Agency and you will get the visa at Haydar Aliyev International Airport.
We aim to bring together 25 motivated participants between the ages of 18-35 who are interested in culture and ancient traditions
Participation fee: 175 EUR
These costs will cover:
welcome pack; accommodation; two meals per day; cultural nights;
Entrance to Maiden Tower; Shirvanshahlar Palace; Heydar Aliyev Center; Carpet museum; horse riding; train and bus tickets for trips between locations; excursions, city tours, visiting historical places of Azerbaijan;

 | This Spring AEGEE-Academy presents you with the TRAINers Tour!
What does this mean? From the March 4th - March 31st & April 22nd - May 21st, three AEGEE-Academy trainers are independently travelling through Europe by Interrail, hoping to stop by as many AEGEE-locals as possible, to provide quality trainings on topics requested by you, the local!
The trainers will also provide advice/tips/tricks on how to make your Summer University more contentful, if you want to use their expertise.

 | [OPEN CALL] - Transsiberian DREAM is looking for TRAINERS!
Transsiberian DREAM is the best Summer University of 2018 organized by AEGEE-Moskva&Co for 11 years in a row. This year the TSU will take place from the 2nd of August to the 21st of August with a total of 35 participants.
You are our ideal trainer if you are able:
- to attend the event for all 20 days of the Travelling Summer University
- to design, develop and deliver interactive non-formal sessions in various locations all over Russia
- to be a professional trainer providing participants with unforgettable sessions and workshops and combine it with being an ideal participant
- to cooperate with the Transsiberian DREAM vol. 11 Core-Team, Content Manager and other trainers
- to be part of the follow-up after the event
The participation fee for the trainer will be reduced (accordingly to the hours of training provided).

Essay contets “Creating a Society Full of Kindness”
Young people from around the world are invited to enter the 2019 International Essay Contest for Young People organized by the Goi Peace Foundation. The theme for this year's contest is: "CREATING A SOCIETY FULL OF KINDNESS." As 20th anniversary special edition, this year’s contest involves action in addition to writing. But, wait... what is YEAH! exactly? YEAH! is the brand new festival organized by AEGEE / European Students' Forum, AEGEE-Torino, Togather and the municipality of Torino. It aims at attracting youngsters towards the volunteering world and, more generally, to involve them in the sphere of active citizenship, by granting visibility to big and small organizations active in the city. A festival for young activists, by young activists, in which they are the ones who ask questions and put on the table the topics they consider the most relevant for the development of our society. AEGEE Election Observation delivers Final Report on the Bosnia & Herzegovina General Election mission From 3 to 9 October 2018, AEGEE Election Observation deployed a mission of young Europeans to the General Election in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The findings of this documentaddress the necessity of giving space to the younger generations in the political scenario, exposing that the complexity of the system is preventing youth to achieve a real engagement.
This Final report is the result of research, meetings with Bosnian political stakeholders and observation through the General election day. We invite you to read the findings and get a deeper perspective on the participation of European youth, maybe you will observe with us too, in one of our next missions. |
