YOUrope needs YOU: A powerful start into 2009
AEGEE's project organizes training in Kraków

The European Student's Forum AEGEE presents the third training for
multipliers in Kraków (Poland) from 20 to 25 February. The training is
taking place in the framework of AEGEE's project YOUrope needs YOU! which
aims to inspire high school students to become active members of the
European society.

The project: YOUrope needs YOU!
"Empowered high school students all over Europe" – this is the main aim of
YOUrope needs YOU!, a European project under the umbrella of the European
Student's Forum AEGEE.Through workshop sessions at high schools conducted by
university students from different NGOs active in youth work, the project
intends to raise awareness on current European matters, show the practical
opportunities Europe offers, and encourage young people to seize these
opportunities. The use of interactive non-formal education methods will
allow the participating high school students to improve their understanding
of common European values and perspectives. The sessions will be organised
by students for students – a great basis for sharing idealism and the
conviction to act and experience Europe.

The training: Kraków, 20 to 25 February, 2009
In order to train students to hold workshops in high school, several
trainings for multipliers are taking place all over Europe. In 2008, the
project was launched with training courses in Leiden (Netherlands) and
Passau (Germany). 2009 kicks off with the training in Kraków (Poland) from
20 to 25 February. During the training (interactive lectures and workshops)
the participants will gain the skills and knowledge needed to organize a
workshop about European topics and to inspire high school students to use
the opportunity Europe offers. The training in Kraków, which enjoys
financial support by the „Youth in Action" programme is the third one in a
series which are organized within the framework of the project. The two
following editions are will take place in March 2009 in Oviedo and
Canakkale. More information about the training in Kraków and the project in
general are available at www.aegee.org/youropeneedsyou and
