Bringing back the Transylvanian myths and traditions, raising awareness towards the true cultural values of our country and overcoming communication barriers and prejudices

Description: Have you ever dreamt of discovering the world behind the myths? Have you thought that, someday, you would see, touch, taste, smell, FEEL the legends of Dracula, werewolves, ghosts and evil medieval rulers that you have only read about? Well then, now's your chance! Become a TransylvManiac!

Come to Cluj-Napoca, one of the oldest and most beautiful medieval cities in Europe, discover our legends, secrets and myths and you'll never regret it! We guarantee 4 days of excitement, of amazement and joy, because everything we let you discover will be done the most fun way possibly!

The fifth town of the country, Cluj-Napoca is a city with two seperate names: Napoca - the name of the ancient Dacian fortressand Cluj, which comes from the Latin word "clusum". Clusum means to be 'closed', and this is due the fact that Cluj is protected by the surrounding hills. The city has been known by its German name - Klausenburg, or its Hungarian name - Kolozsvar, being also a very important cultural and political centre for the Transylvanian Hungarians.

Cluj Napoca is a university town with more than 60.000 students, active nightlife and concerts. Today, Cluj-Napoca is one of the most important Romanian cities, being a tourist destination and a starting point for other tourist targets.

And that's not all! We'll continue our quest for amazing facts in the city of Sighisoara, a place where Romanian, Hungarian and Saxon cultural values and architectural styles mingle and give out one of the most beautiful and mysterious places you have ever seen or heard about.

Just wait and see what our guides have prepared for you during this once-in-a-lifetime experience! Let me open your appetite for excitement: there will be breathtaking dances, food like you never tasted before and, if you haven't guessed it yet.mysterious fairies to lead your way when you get lost .

Accomodation: You will sleep in the newest youth hostels in Cluj-Napoca and Sighisoara, that combine an excellent location and a good quality lodging (new, safe & clean).

So how about it? Do we celebrate the TransylvManian spring together?

If your answer is YES!!!, then don't wait anymore and APPLY!

Many people, several cultures, one project...

A Find Europe event is a high quality cultural European event aimed at transferring to participants a deep knowledge on the place where it is held, on the customs and traditions of the local people, developing in participants intercultural senility and understanding. In particular, a Find Europe event should preferably be organized in time converging with special and traditional happenings in order to give to AEGEE members the chance to participate in them as well.

Find Europe is not the usual project, this is the way to brake down stereotypes, way to show to the "strangers" who we really are, way to share our cultural heritage with the Europe. If we understand the way out neighbors live, we will realize how multicultural and complicated Europe is, and than, maybe, we will learn how to be more tolerant, open minded and how to live together under the one European roof.
