On behalf of KIE we are looking for participants from Portugal and Italy for
a training course on EVS!

Training
course on personal, social and professional development of EVS volunteers
and
recognition of learning process within EVS projects by using Youthpass
13 - 20 June 2010, Kiskunfélegyháza,
Hungary
Theme of the training course:
Our organisation,
Association for the Youth in Kiskunfélegyháza and the Constantinum
Institution
is cooperate together very closely, which is an accredited host
organisation (EI number 2007-HU-53). We
would like to develop their skills, knowledge and attitudes concerning
volunteers hosting, other hand concerning the volunteers and the mentors
formal, informal and non-formal learning process during their EVS projects.
To
understand how they can develop the identity, social sensitivity and
professions.
We would like to understand the
importance of the Youthpass certificate in this processes, and to recognize
how
the volunteers can use their competences in their daily life. Last but not
least, we would like to promote this host organisation to the sending and
coordinating organisations, to create a trustful and quality partnership
between the organisations.
The overall aim of the training course:
The overall aim of the
training course is to train EVS task related persons, mentors, tutors,
sending
organization, EVS promoters for being aware and raising understanding about
quality aspects of EVS projects according to proposals of Youth in Action
programme. Furthermore, to develop competences of host organizations in
order
to make quality EVS host projects trough experiential learning during the
training course. To gain knowledge, during the training for host
organization
and learn how they can improve their own volunteers (present and future one)
personally, socially and professionally. Moreover, to discover and get well
informed the usage of Youthpass within EVS.
Learning
objectives of the training course are:
- To clarify the
challenges of European Voluntary Service regarding to content and
methodology,
non formal and informal learning process, intercultural learning and impact
on
local community;
- To raise knowledge and gain new experiences
on Youthpass as tool of recognition of non formal learning;
- To raise awareness on key competences and
develop different methods for using them in practice within EVS projects.
- To experience being in position of
volunteers and raise awareness on personal, social and professional
development
during EVS activity.
- To prepare quality EVS project, matching new
requirements of programme YiA with their
organization
- To offer the opportunity to meet possible
partner groups.
Who can participate in the training course?
- Age over 17 and there is no upper age limit;
- Youth workers, directly working with young
people, having experience of running EVS project as mentors and coordinators
of
EVS projects;
- Ready to take part in the whole training course;
- Have
organizational support for further activities within EVS;
- To be
able to communicate English language.
Financial conditions:
The food and accommodation will be provided and paid
by the organizers. 70% of travels costs will be reimbursed either by bank
transfer after the course or at the end of the course in cash (in Euros €).
It
may be that money from European Commission will be late; in that case, as
mentioned, you will get your reimbursement after the course by bank transfer
(be ready for that).
There is
30EUR participation fee!
