Dear Rainbow friends,
   
   
  Apart from the well known European Schools there are also other trainings, organised by European Institutions, with different aims and very valuable both in the content and in the results. 
   
  Here you go a nice idea for a training...there are some requirements which should be respected, so I recommend you to read the email till the end and see whether you can take part.

31st of MAY is the DEADLINE to apply for TRAINING MODULES ON ACTIVE
CITIZENSHIP (modules 3-6)

it is the initiative taken together by the Council of Europe and the
European Commission.
you can now choose among 4 trainings with different focuses:


Module 3.
European Citizenship: Citizenship
4 – 10 September 2006.
Bern, Switzerland

Module 4.
European Citizenship: Intercultural Learning
25 September – 1 October 2006.
Cardiff, UK

Module 5.
European Citizenship: Human Rights
23 - 29 October 2006.
Eisenborn, Luxembourg

Module 6.
European Citizenship: Role of Youth Work in Participation
23 – 29 October 2006.
Rome, Italy

WHO CAN APPLY? - CHECK LIST:

- have experience of at least 2 years in youth work (e.g. like AEGEE);
- have organised or co-organised at least 1 international youth 
project;
- have experience in developing and managing a project with and for 
young
people;
- are directly involved in youth activities with young people;
- are supported by their organisation in the application and in their 
work
to
integrate European Citizenship into youth work;
- are committed to work directly with young people on issues related to
European
citizenship;
- are motivated to undergo training and able to attend the course for 
its
full
duration;
- are able to work in English;
- have a general knowledge and understanding of youth work realities in
their
countries and a direct involvement with issues of European Citizenship 
in
this
context;
- are resident in a member state of the Council of Europe or in another
country
signatory to the European Cultural convention.
- have proven experience of youth work in the field of the specific 
focus of
the
Module that the applicant applies.



WHERE TO APPLY?

Please send your application to the National Agency of the Youth 
Program in
your country for pre-selection. In case there is no National Agency
representation in your country, please send your application directly 
to the
hosting National Agency by the above deadline.

ATTENTION!!!

you do need a recomendation letter either from your National Agency of 
the
Youth Programme or from your organisation => AEGEE (your local or
AEGEE-Europe)

IF you would like to obtain the recommendation letter from AEGEE-Europe
please send your application to me ([log in to unmask]) - the deadline for
asking for recommendation letter is 23rd OF MAY
then I will provide you with the letter by 30th May the latest

butt.. don't wait till the last moment please!!!
