Carissime *Sedi* della Rainbow,

come potevate immaginare dopo la lettera di commiato del nostro
*Claudio*arriva la mia.
Sinceramente non so nemmeno che scrivervi; leggendo la lettera di Armandi
ho capito che mi aspetterà senz'altro un anno intenso ma, come per lui,
spero ricco di emozioni e *soddisfazioni*. Non credo come dice lui di
essere in grado di camminare già da ora sulle mie gambe. Senza di lui,
sicuramente,
non avrei preso questa strada, non sarei stato in grado di parlare
all'Agora, non mi troverei qui a scrivervi questa mail: a lui va la mia
gratitudine, la mia riconoscenza e la mia amicizia per avermi guidato da
fratello maggiore negli ultimi sette mesi della mia vita.
Voglio anche *ringraziare* nella presente anche gli altri compagni di
avventura e disgrazia che sono stati, come me, candidati a Zaragoza e mi
hanno sostenuto durante i miei momenti di panico ed incertezza: Erika
Bettin, Andrea Nostro e Francesca Russo.
Infine* tutti voi* che mi avete sostenuto prima e durante l'Agora dandomi
consigli, pacche sulle spalle e regalandomi la vostra fiducia: inutile dire
che se non l'aveste fatto non avrei mai avuto l'idea di candidarmi. Siete
troppi per elencarvi ma non mancherò di esservi riconoscente quando ci
rivedremo in giro per l'Europa!
Quanto alle persone che non conosco e leggono ciò che scrivo voglio dire
che non vedo l'ora di vedervi e passare del tempo con voi.

Detto questo mi presento:

Sono *Mattia Abis* vice presidente di AEGEE-Cagliari (lo sarò sino a  fine
Dicembre) e nuovo *Network Commissioner*!
Nel draft di divisione delle sedi, come da tradizione, mi hanno assegnato
le *Sedi italiane e AEGEE-Valletta*: in caso qualcuno non mi voglia come
NetCommie, nei prossimi giorni avrà modo di farlo presente alla NetCom
anche se spero vivamente che non succeda!  Credo che la *base di
partenza*delle sedi che mi sono state affidate sia buona: nessuna sede
è stata
chiusa nell'ultimo anno, 3 nuove sono state aperte. C'è in ogni caso *ancora
da lavorare*: alcune sedi non godono di *ottima salute* e possono essere
ritenute a rischio, altre hanno *strascichi* che si portano dietro da anni,
certe non collaborano tra loro, molte devono fronteggiare la mancanza di
*finanziamenti* o accreditamento presso le *istituzioni*, alcune vorrebbero
ospitare *eventi statutari* ma sbattono sempre contro il muro della
pubblica amministrazione, quasi tutte a mio avviso dovrebbero essere più
aperte al* livello europeo* e dare un contributo.
Ovviamente non tutte le sedi partono dallo stesso livello e proprio per
questo vorrei *lavorare per singola sede* in base alle esigenze che ha
nell'immediato per poi essere pronta ad essere sviluppata in futuro.
Tengo a precisare che sta *ANCHE A VOI* contattarmi per dirmi che problemi
avete da risolvere: non c'è *nessuna vergogna* in questo, c'è nel non farlo!
Io cercherò dal mio canto di essere il più presente possibile e di trovarvi
le migliori soluzioni possibili per darvi una mano;
Per farlo non sarò da solo ma avrò una mia squadra che saranno i miei
*SubCommie*. Voglio che loro abbiano un ruolo fondamentale che non sia
confinato alla sola richiesta del Monthly Report ma operativo.

Come avete visto nell'oggetto della mia mail c'è scritto *"OPEN CALL FOR
SUBCOMMIES"*:

Molte persone sono interessate a diventarlo e me l'hanno già confessato,
tuttavia chiunque può diventarlo, basta che abbia alcuni requisiti:
forza di *volontà*, *esperienza*, *motivazione*, *idee*, *ambizione* e
soprattutto *entusiasmo*! Nessuno ci paga per stare in AEGEE, se non avete
quest'ultimo non andate da nessuna parte! :)
Per la scelta dei subcommie terrò conto di queste cose elencate, alla *zona
in cui vivete* e alle *necessità* che hanno le sedi della vostra area. Ho
avvertito abbastanza fermento all'idea di entrare nel team quindi mi
aspetto che ci siano molte candidature: la cosa comporta che qualcuno di
conseguenza potrà *restare fuori*; la mia scelta non sarà un giudizio
personale ma tale perché fatta nell'*interesse delle sedi* che mi sono
state affidate.

Dear Rainbow *Locals* ,

as you might imagine after the farewell letter of our *Claudio* comes mine .

I honestly do not even know what to write; reading the letter of Armandi I
realized that I certainly expect a busy year but, like him, I hope full of
excitement and *satisfactions*. I do not think, as he says, than I'm
already able to walk on my legs . Without him, surely, I would not have
taken this route, I would not be able to speak at the Agora, I would not be
here writing this message: he deserves my gratitude, my thankfulness and my
friendship for guiding me as an older brother in the last seven months of
my life.
I also want to *thank* my companions of adventure and misfortune that were,
like me, candidates in Zaragoza and have supported me during my moments of
panic and uncertainty: Erika Bettin, Andrea Nostro and Francesca Russo.
Finally,* all of you* who have supported me before and during the Agora
giving me advice, pats on the back and giving me your confidence: needless
to say if you had not done that I would never had the idea to do all these
things. You are too many to list you but I will certainly thankful when we
meet around Europe!
For the people I don't know yet, but are reading what I wrote, I just want
to say that I can not wait to see you and spend time with you.

After this let me introduce you myself :

I'm *Mattia Abis* vice president of AEGEE- Cagliari (I will be until the
end of December) and new *Network Commissioner*!
In the locals division draft, as usual, I was assigned to the *Italian
locals* and *AEGEE-Valletta*: If someone does not want me as NetCommie in
the coming days will be able to tell this to NetCom although I sincerely
hope that it won’t happen! I believe that the *starting point* of locals
I'm getting is good: no one has been closed in the last year, 3 new were
opened. Anyway, there is *still work*: some Antennae don't have a *good
health* and can be considered *at risk*, others have *problems* that are
carrying with them since years, some do not *cooperate* each other, many
are facing *lack of funding* or *accreditation* within institutions, some
would like to host *statutory events* but are always banging against the
wall of the public administration, almost all in my opinion should be more
open to the *European level *and give a contribution.
Obviously, not all the locals start from the same level and for this I
would like to work for *single site* thinking on the immediate needs they
have and then develop them in the future.
I want to point out that it is also *UP TO YOU* contact me to tell me that
you have problems to solve: there is *no shame* in this, there is if you
don't do it!
I will try on my hand to be as present as possible and to find the best
possible solutions for you;
To do this I will not be alone, but I have my own team that will be my
*SubCommies* . I want them to have a critical role, not confined only to
the request of the Monthly Report, but operational.

As you saw the subject of my email says *"OPEN CALL FOR SUBCOMMIES"*

Many people are interested in becoming one and they already told me this,
however anyone can become subcommie, you just to need few skills:
*willpower*, *experience*, *motivation*, *ideas*, *ambition* and above all
*enthusiasm*! Nobody pay us to stay in AEGEE , if we do not have enthusiasm
we won’t go anywhere! :)
For the selection of subcommie I will take note of these listed
things, the *area
in which you live *and the *needs* that have locals in your area. I felt
some excitement to the idea of joining the team so I expect that there will
be many applications: it means that someone will *be out*, my choice will
not be a personal opinion about you but a choice I'm doing for the *interest
of my locals*.
